SkipMate drawbar trailers are produced in many forms, and are much-used in the haulage of bricks, blocks, tiles, hay & straw. Typically there is the 24 Tonne Tri-Axle SkipMate.
A further popular market is in conjunction with rear-mounted fork-lifts. A drawbar trailer with close-coupled axles, fully laden and with a rear-mounted fork-lift must have the correct download on the drawbar eye. This is for vehicle stability and is a legal requirement. It is part of SkipMate's careful attention to design that maintains this download when the vehicle is relieved of its payload, whilst still carrying a relatively heavy forklift on the rear end.
